← AI Reusable Blocks

Your blocks stay on your device.

Updated September 12, 2026. This policy covers the AI Reusable Blocks Chrome extension and its optional usage sharing. The extension is operated by the owner of the Small Tools field test.

Saved text

When you choose “Save to Blocks”, the selected text is temporarily held in Chrome session storage while you name it. Saved names, text, dates and local copy counts are stored in chrome.storage.local in your Chrome profile. We do not receive these names or texts. No conversation URLs, browsing history or clipboard contents are collected. Copy writes the selected block to your clipboard only when you press Copy; the extension never reads your clipboard.

There is no cloud sync. Export your blocks before uninstalling or clearing Chrome data. Uninstalling removes local blocks. Exported files are your responsibility; this version has no automatic restore/import.

Optional anonymous counts

Sharing is off by default. If you choose to enable it and grant access to this site, the extension sends a random installation identifier, a private deletion credential, installation time, revision number, total saves, peak shelf size, copy counts, copies made at least 24 hours after saving, a return-after-seven-days flag, Pro view/price-interest flags, and your optional discovery-source choice. Counts from before opting in are included. A hash of the deletion credential is stored, not the credential itself. The preview build is marked as test data.

We use these counts to decide whether people return to reuse their saved answers. A Copy does not prove that you pasted it or used it in an AI. We do not sell data, use advertising trackers, or share counts for advertising. The site owner can view aggregate reports. OpenAI Sites and its hosting infrastructure, including Cloudflare, process requests to run the service; ordinary infrastructure logs may include IP addresses and request metadata. Block text is never sent to an AI provider by this extension.

Stop sharing or delete counts

Open the extension → Usage sharing & backup. Uncheck sharing to stop future sends. Choose “Delete shared counts” while online to remove the server record and turn sharing off. The deletion button needs permission to contact this site. Your blocks are unaffected. If you uninstall first, your deletion credential is lost; inactive count records expire after 90 days and are removed when the next usage snapshot is received.

Pro price test and email

Pro is not available for purchase. The proposed price is $3.99/month for unlimited blocks. In-extension price interest is stored locally and included only if usage sharing is enabled. The optional website launch-update form separately stores your email and explicit price preference. It never starts a subscription. See website privacy and email deletion for the email retention policy and deletion form.

Support messages

If you use our support form, we store your message, optional reply email, a browser-session identifier for basic rate limiting, and submission time. Only the maker can read them. They are used for support and product feedback and deleted after 90 days when the next message is received. Do not send confidential block text. Contact us through the same form to request earlier deletion.

Permissions and limits

contextMenus adds the selection action. storage keeps your shelf and settings. clipboardWrite supports Copy. The optional host permission allows count-sharing and deletion only at this site. There are no content scripts, broad website-reading permissions, remotely loaded code, or background AI requests. Chrome may limit extension actions on protected browser pages. This independent product is not affiliated with OpenAI, Anthropic, Google or their AI products.
